More About the Optional Cheiroscopic Viewer Attachment
How it works:
To convert the Basic Franzblau Multi Sensory Coordinator into a cheiroscopic-type instrument, simply remove the standard coordinator faceplate and fit the stereoscopic viewer assembly to the instrument case. Set the Coordinator selector switch to Mode 3.
Ground magnifying lenses provide full binocular vision. The optical centers of the lenses are separated 85 mm to provide for adequate base-out stimulation and to permit use of the instrument by a wide range of patients. An essentially flat viewing head stimulates peripheral vision during training, and the shaft is calibrated for precise head adjustment. (Far position marks the 200 mm focal length of the lenses.)
A supporting ledge strip for cards and sheets includes a calibrated scale, enabling the recording of direct prism computations at various accommodation levels.
With the installation of a back-lit, flush-mounted translucent screen built into the faceplate, transparencies as well as opaque materials can be used with the unit.
